Job summary

Brown University Health's Rhode Island Hospital seeks an experienced RN to provide comprehensive peri-procedural nursing care in Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI and US. You will assess, monitor, and support patients across geriatric, adult, and pediatric populations, ensuring safety and high-quality care.

The role requires RN licensure in Rhode Island, ACLS/BLS, and ICU/ER experience; duties include sedation, post-procedural care, collaboration with radiology and nursing

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Rhode Island RN license required.
• ACLS & BLS certification.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Experience in aging patients and critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments and data collection, documents nursing assessments.
• Provides direct patient care and advocates for patients.
• Monitors patient condition throughout pre-, peri-, post-procedural periods and initiates interventions.
• Administers conscious sedation and monitors during CT, US, and VIR procedures.
• Assists radiologists and with procedures requiring nursing skills.
• Documents patient status and nursing interventions, communicates with team.
• Takes call per IR policy and acts as charge nurse as needed.
• Supports quality improvement and risk management programs.
