Qualifications

• Radiographer license issued by the Illinois Dept of Nuclear Safety.
• Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months unless specified otherwise.

Responsibilities

• Operates angiographic and ultrasound equipment for advanced procedures.
• Assists in interventional and surgical procedures.
• Monitors patients and responds to life-threatening changes.
• Ensures diagnostic quality of images and maintains records.

Skills

Advanced knowledge in radiology positioning and techniques

Advanced knowledge of basic radiation safety and aseptic techniques

Advanced knowledge of anatomy that includes vascular and/or cerebral

Ability to work independently

Intermediate computer skills

Education

Completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology
