Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for University Hospital (Rhodes Hall). You will perform invasive angiographic and interventional imaging procedures to diagnose disease, while educating patients and supporting quality initiatives. The position operates under the Imaging Manager.

Required: ARRT (R) radiography license, ODH license, ACLS and BLS/RQI certifications. VI registry is preferred; prior interventional radiology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current ODH license required.
• ACLS certification required prior to orientation.
• BLS/RQI certification required prior to orientation.
• Advanced VI registry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive angiographic, cardiovascular and interventional imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment.
• Provide patient education related to procedures and care.
• Contribute to quality assessment activities within the division.
• Work under the direction of the Imaging Manager.

Scope of Position

The Interventional Radiology division encompasses stationary IR equipment located in University Hospital and The James Cancer Hospital.

Position Summary

The Interventional Radiological Technologist performs invasive angiographic, cardiovascular, and interventional imaging procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury. The position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Imaging Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current radiography license, ARRT (R) required.
• Current radiography ODH license required.
• Previous interventional radiology experience preferred.
• Must obtain ACLS certification in addition to BLS/RQI certification prior to orientation completion.
• Advanced registry in VI preferred.
