Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL is seeking a Cardiovascular Lab Technologist to support cardiac procedures. You will scrub and monitor physiological data under physicians’ direction in a cardiovascular lab setting, ensuring the room is ready and supplies are in stock.

The role requires ARRT-R or state license, BCLS at hire, ACLS within 30 days, and preferred VI certification with prior interventional radiology experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R license or state license required; VI preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Interventional Radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• ARRT-R and licensed as required by State; VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) preferred.
• Previous experience in a Interventional Radiology department preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $38.50 to $57.41. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
