Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Staff Nurse in Interventional Radiology to deliver high‑quality patient care in a dynamic environment. You will apply nursing theory and evidence to assess needs, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

The role requires a BSN (ADN acceptable if matriculated in a BSN), NY RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS and cardiac/critical care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
• Experience: Relevant clinical competence in nursing practice; new graduates must have current knowledge of the nursing process.
• Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New York State; BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred; Cardiac and Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care incorporating the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
• Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying barriers and opportunities for improvement.
• Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.
• Document nursing practice accurately to support quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in shared decision-making through nursing department committees and unit initiatives.
