Job summary

Universal Health Services in Texas is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to assist radiologists with Special Procedure exams and to perform quality control procedures as required. Responsibilities include collaborating with hospital staff, maintaining skills, and being available for weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have current BLS certification.
• 2 years prior Special Procedure and/or Radiographer experience required.
• Membership in related professional organization preferred.
• ARRT Certification in Interventional Angiography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists radiologist in performing Special Procedure exams and performs quality control procedures as required by the manufacturer.
• Evaluates orders, verifies with radiologist and ensures proper lab results and history for contraindications before performing exam.
• Interacts with hospital staff to address patient care concerns and assist in resolutions.
• Maintains performance skills and routinely works weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, or on-call when needed.
