Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist to perform specialized radiographic procedures and support interventional imaging. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams while delivering high-quality images and patient-safe care.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Requires national certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable.
• BLS certification.
• Clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional procedures following orders and policies.
• Educates patients and families regarding procedures or treatments.
• Produces high-quality images and prepares them for timely interpretation.
• Maintains documentation and paperwork related to procedures.
• Demonstrates competence in invasive/interventional procedures and radiopharmaceutical administration.
• Performs equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoots to maintain performance.
• Maintains radiation safety and confidentiality of all patient information.
