IR Centers in Louisville is seeking an Interventional Radiology Scrub Technologist to prepare patients and procedure rooms, maintain a sterile environment, and assist physicians during radiology procedures in an outpatient setting.

You will pass instruments, aid in patient positioning, and manage data entry on the C-Arm while upholding HIPAA and safety standards. This full-time role offers a day shift with no on-call requirements.

Competenze

• Proven working experience as a surgical technologist
• Proficient in maintaining a sterile field
• Experienced in scrubbing in for surgical procedures
• Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
• Working knowledge of interventional equipment.

Mansioni

• Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures
• Reviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure rooms
• Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning
• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique
• Complies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray images
• Manages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposal
• May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys
• Ensures effective communication with physicians
• Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes
