Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Interventional Radiology (IR) unit at University Hospital.

The role covers pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care within the Imaging Department and requires managing medications during conscious sedation, assisting with invasive procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the imaging process. The RN will perform sterile prep, venipuncture, and patient education, while supporting department workflows and staff

Qualifications

• ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN NURSING, BSN PREFERRED.
• KBN, BLS, ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care in the Imaging Department across pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.
• Provide medications and patient monitoring during conscious sedation within the Imaging department.
• Assist with scheduling of invasive procedures and monitor patient flow in the Diagnostic Imaging department.
• Performs sterile prep prior to invasive procedures and venipuncture as needed.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

BSN preferred

Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) license

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
