Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology on a PRN basis to provide compassionate nursing care during IR procedures.

You will administer IV conscious sedation, monitor patient status, collaborate with radiologists and care teams, start IVs, manage lines, educate patients and families, and document all care in Epic, while supporting safety and operational initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience.
• IL RN license is required.
• NLN-accredited nursing program is required; BSN strongly preferred and must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• CPR (BLS) and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients
• Administer IV conscious sedation and medications under physician direction
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies, including contrast reactions
• Start IVs, manage central lines, and perform dressing changes
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Coordinate and support daily procedure scheduling and patient flow within the IR lab
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
• Document all care and procedures accurately in Epic
• Support quality and safety initiatives, including inventory and equipment readiness
• Precept and mentor new staff and assist with training of team members
