Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate patient care, educate patients and families, and ensure smooth transitions of care across the continuum. The RN will practice within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, providing leadership through preceptor roles and quality improvement efforts.

Applicants must have a baccalaureate nursing degree, Arizona RN license, and 2 years of ED/ICU experience; IR experience is required.

Qualifications

• RN eligibility and Arizona licensure required.
• Minimum 2 years of ED or ICU experience.
• IR experience required.
• Must live within 30 minutes from campus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Support nursing practice within Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model and lead quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide leadership through roles such as preceptor and committee involvement.
• Flexible hours and on-call responsibilities as needed.
