Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT is seeking an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN). The role supports radiologists during minimally invasive procedures, prepares patients, maintains sterile fields, and monitors patient vitals and medications through procedures.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s degree in Nursing with an active CT RN license and at least 1 year inpatient experience; BLS/CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut.
• 1 year inpatient medical/surgical experience; IR, ICU or ER preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Preparation for radiologic diagnostic and image-guided interventions, along with maintenance of sterile fields.
• Administration and monitoring of medications, blood products, and fluids while calculating and documenting dosages, adjustments, protocols, and patients’ vitals during treatments.
• Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, healthcare team members, and the patient and family to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care delivery.
