Job summary

Requirements include a High School Diploma, ADN (with BSN within 5 years), and 2+ years of clinical nursing; Kansas RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Preference for CCRN/TNCC.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• ADN in Nursing with perioperative focus; BSN must be completed within 5 years of RN hire.
• 2 or more years of clinical nursing experience.
• Licensure: active RN license in Kansas; BLS Heartsaver; ACLS; PALS.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive patient assessment.
• Delegate tasks to support staff within scope of practice.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and time management in patient care.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Document all aspects of care per policy.
• Follow hospital policies for safe patient care (med admin, handoffs).
• Incorporate patient and family teaching.
• Participate in department quality improvement.
