Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a compassionate nurse for West Jefferson Medical Center in Louisiana. The role supports patients undergoing scheduled and emergent interventional radiology procedures, performing assessments, establishing IV access, and coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team.

You will monitor patients before, during and after procedures, ensure infection control and safety, educate patients and families, and advocate for a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of recent acute-care nursing experience.
• Current Louisiana RN license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in Interventional Radiology or procedural environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and coordinate nursing care for patients undergoing scheduled and emergent interventional radiology procedures.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments before procedures and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.
• Establish and maintain IV access and provide direct nursing care during procedures.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures and provide recovery care according to department protocols.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow infection-control, safety, and Joint Commission requirements.
