Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing procedures in Diagnostic Imaging at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Under supervision of nurse managers, you will perform assessments, administer medications and sedation, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with radiology staff to ensure safe, quality care.

Requires RI RN licensure, ACLS and BLS certification, and experience in ICU or ER; day shifts with call

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Rhode Island per RI Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; ACLS & BLS certified.
• Ability to work without direct supervision; knowledge of aging processes and cultural patterns.

Responsibilities

• Assess and collect data via interviews and chart review.
• Provide direct patient care and advocate for patients.
• Monitor patient condition pre-, peri-, and post-procedure; vital signs and monitoring.
• Administer conscious sedation and contrast material.
• Assist radiologists and work with radiology staff.
• Document patient status and interventions; communicate with teams.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety tracking.
