Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a skilled RN to provide comprehensive nursing care in our radiology department across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. You will coordinate and delegate care during imaging procedures, administer moderate sedation, and monitor patient status under radiologists’ direction.

Ideal candidates will hold a BSN with timely certification in PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and IV competency, plus strong computer skills to document and communicate

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required within specified timeframe.
• PALS certification obtained within 6 months of hire date.
• Working knowledge of common computer applications.
• Current Moderate Sedation and IV competency credentials; obtain within 90 days if needed.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within six months of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to radiology patients in acute care settings.
• Prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care during radiology procedures.
• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patients undergoing procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
