Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine is seeking a Procedural Physician Assistant in Interventional Radiology to coordinate outpatient and select inpatient care. The PA will perform histories, exams, ECGs and assist with fluoroscopy and CT-guided procedures under supervision.

Qualifications include NYS PA license, NCCPA certification, BLS, and a preferred Master's. Schedule is Monday–Friday, with 4–10 hour days; experience in coordinating clinical protocols is desirable, and new grads may be considered.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ARC-PA accredited program.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Current New York State Physician Assistant License & Registration.
• Certification from NCCPA.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS or PALS (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• In outpatient and inpatient settings, provides clinical services and care with supervising physician.
• Coordinates care of established patients ensuring diagnostic testing and follow-up are completed timely.
• Coordinates care of new patients with multi-specialty scheduling and documentation.
• Assists physician in surgeries and/or procedures where applicable.
• Obtains histories, performs exams, documents findings, and develops care plans with supervising physician.
• Issues prescriptions for drugs, devices and immunizations as indicated.
• Provides patient education and responds to questions about disease and treatment.
• Supports coordination of clinical trials and data collection.
• Prescreens and triages new patients before appointments.
