Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Northeast Iowa is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiology RN to join our patient-centered team. You will provide care before, during, and after image-guided procedures, collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and the care team, and support safe outcomes.

Responsibilities include assisting with biopsies and vascular procedures, administering meds, managing IV therapy and moderate sedation, and documenting care in the EHR while maintaining safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• RN with interventional radiology support experience or ICU/Medical-Surgical experience preferred.
• Active Iowa RN license and BLS required; ACLS within 3 months of hire.
• CRN/CSRN preferred.
• Must complete Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Assist with biopsies, angioplasty, embolization, central line placements, and other image-guided interventions.
• Administer medications, initiate and manage IV therapy, and support pain management.
• Monitor and manage moderate sedation per policy and safety standards.
• Record care and procedural data in the EHR; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop individualized care plans and coordinate education for patients and families.
