Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time Day shift in Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on administering nursing care during imaging procedures, coordinating patient care with physicians, and educating patients and families before and after procedures.

Qualifications

• Current IA RN licensure required
• Mandatory Reporter training completed
• Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within 3 months of hire
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 weeks of hire

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care to patients; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient’s care plan in coordination with the physician during imaging procedures.
• Provide care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Educate patients and families before and after invasive procedures and provide ongoing counseling.
• Ensure availability and proper working condition of medical supplies/equipment in the Medical Imaging Department.
