Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Nurse to lead comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill adults in the Imaging Services department. You will develop, implement, and evaluate care plans while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and serving as a patient advocate.
Expect responsibilities across monitoring, medication administration, sterile technique, and operation of IR-related equipment.
As our Interventional Radiology Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center, you will assume a leadership role in assessing patient/family health problems and resources, with a primary focus on developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing care plans for acutely ill adult patient populations in our Imaging Services department. This position requires providing service to diverse age groups, from young adults to geriatric patients, demonstrating a deep understanding of their functional and developmental needs. Every day you will provide comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care, organizing and prioritizing patient activities while maintaining a balance between patient needs and comfort. You will serve as a dedicated patient advocate, utilizing holistic care practices and skillfully adapting to changes in patient conditions, such as abnormal lab results or vital signs. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, strong computer literacy, and the ability to recognize your scope of practice, seeking multidisciplinary collaboration when appropriate. Your capacity to assume accountability for decisions, partner with others to drive positive outcomes, and effectively delegate tasks will be crucial in this dynamic Nuclear Medicine nursing role, where patient satisfaction and ethical practice are paramount.
