Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA, is expanding its Angiography & Interventional Radiology (IR) Lab team. The role involves assisting with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures in a fast-paced trauma and stroke environment, with emphasis on patient safety and aseptic technique.

Qualified candidates hold related degrees, CLS/ACLS certifications, and ARRT-R or RCIS/RCES credentials within stated timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular technology.
• Graduate of accredited school of radiology.
• Associate degree or baccalaureate degree in a clinically related health science field.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or (RCES) Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures, ensuring minimal risk to the patient and team members according to departmental protocols for a Level 1 Trauma Center and DNV Designate Comprehensive Stroke facility.
• Function as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance using aseptic technique.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of diagnostic and interventional radiology.

Education

Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular technology

Graduate of accredited school of radiology

Associate degree or baccalaureate degree in a clinically related health science field

Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
