Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-R Radiography credential.
• Vocational School Graduate credential or degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintains competency and proficiency with all Interventional Radiology equipment to obtain quality images.
• Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self; operates interventional radiology equipment safely.
• Performs necessary computer operations (Meditech, RIS, PACS) for procedural documentation and charges.
• Renders patient care professionally; explains procedures to patients and coordinates with caregivers.
• Prepares equipment, monitors inventory, and maintains cleanliness of procedure room and work area.
• Assists radiologist with medications, contrast administration, sterile technique, and patient care.
• Reviews exams for technical accuracy and completes verification in PACS.
