Job summary

McLeod Health in Florence, SC seeks an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist to perform life-saving procedures within our Special Procedures unit. You will work closely with physicians and other staff, delivering high-quality imaging and patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification within 6 months of hire.
  • South Carolina Radiologic Technologist license required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Experience or interest in Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care with a professional, compassionate demeanor in line with service excellence standards.
  • Apply technical expertise to select and use appropriate factors for each procedure based on body habitus and pathology.
  • Ensure image quality and verification of images meet diagnostic standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergent procedures.

Your Role & Impact

In this vital role within our Special Procedures department, you will be an essential member of a highly skilled team performing interventional and life-saving procedures. Working alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals, your technical expertise and quick thinking will directly contribute to patient outcomes and our mission of delivering excellence in healthcare.

What You'll Do:
  • Deliver exceptional patient care by maintaining a professional and compassionate image, building trust with patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues in line with our Service Excellence Standards and core values.
  • Apply your technical expertise to select and utilize appropriate technical factors for each procedure based on body habitus, pathology, and body parts.
  • Take ownership of image quality, processing and verifying all images meet the highest standards for diagnostic accuracy.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your contributions are valued every day and every case makes a difference.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, providing critical support for emergent procedures when every minute counts.

What You Bring:
  • Education: Completion of an approved AMA school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certifications & Licenses:
