A leading healthcare provider is seeking an Interventional Radiologic Technologist for a role based in Bronx, NY. This position involves assisting during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, operating imaging systems, and requires specific certifications. This is an initial 13-week assignment with a competitive pay rate of $65 hourly, with the possibility of extension.
Job Title : Interventional Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic
Location : Bronx, NY, 10461.
Shift Schedule : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM EST.
Duration : Initial 13-week assignment with the possibility of extension in 8-week increments, if approved.
Pay Rate : $65 on W2.
Responsibilities :
Assist interventional radiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic image-guided procedures.
Operate angiographic and fluoroscopic imaging systems.
Prepare and position patients for procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Administer contrast media under physician guidance and monitor patient reactions.
Maintain sterile fields and assist with catheter and device setup.
Document procedural activities and maintain accurate patient records.
Perform routine QA on radiologic equipment.
Comply with safety and infection control protocols.
Participate in on-call or weekend rotations as required.
Skills / Experience Needed :
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience using angiographic equipment.
Experience in balloon angioplasty and stenting.
Knowledge in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
Strong understanding of radiation safety and sterile technique.
Ability to work collaboratively in high-stress environments.
Excellent communication, time management, and critical-thinking skills.
Education :
High School Diploma or GED (required).
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certifications :
Valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).
Out-of-state license acceptable if candidate agrees to obtain NY license after offer).
BLS Certification (American Heart Association required).
One of the following advanced ARRT certifications (required – only one needed) :
ARRT (CI) – Cardiac Interventional Radiography.
ARRT (CV) – Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography.
ARRT (VI) – Vascular Interventional Radiography.
Tdap.
MMR.
