Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Radiographer-Interventional in Illinois to perform vascular, neuro, and spine interventional imaging under licensed practitioner direction. You will evaluate requests, prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, and ensure high-quality imaging while adhering to safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold an Illinois license (IEMA), ARRT radiography registry, CPR (BLS) certification, and have graduated from an accredited radiography program.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois license through IEMA.
• ARRT registry in radiography.
• CPR certification (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular interventional, neuro interventional and spine interventional imaging procedures.
• Evaluate requests and determine appropriate protocol and method.
• Corroborate patient history with procedure documentation for licensed practitioner use.
• Prepare patient for procedures and provide instructions to obtain desired results and reduce anxiety.
• Operate imaging equipment and accessories; select appropriate program for protocol.
• Position patient to best demonstrate anatomy of interest respecting comfort and safety.
• Maintain imaging quality and safety standards per departmental policies and radiation safety rules.
• Document procedures for charging and records; monitor supply levels and equipment readiness.
• Communicate with care team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient experience.
