Job summary

Harris Health System is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to provide patient care and operate IR equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. This role serves as a resource for junior IR Technologists and students within our Houston-based facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a JRCERT-accredited education, current Texas MRT license, ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, CPR certification, and at least 2 years of IR tech experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program.
• Current Texas MRT license issued by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required; Vascular-Interventional Radiography ARRT preferred.
• CPR certification from AHA or ARC.
• Minimum of 2 years as IR Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Operate IR equipment for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Serve as a resource for lower level IR Technologists and students.
• Maintain PACS/RIS workflows and related clinical equipment.
• Ensure patient safety, radiation protection, and quality control.
• Contribute to flexible work schedules and team collaboration.

JOB SUMMARY: To provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of Interventional Radiology (IR) equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. Acts as a resource for lower level Interventional Radiology Technologists and students

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Must be a graduate of a JRCERT accredited program; Valid MRT license by Texas Medical Board (TMB) required; Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT); Certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred; Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) approved program.

Work Experience: 2 years staff IR Technologist

Equipment Operated: IR equipment, PACS, RIS and related clinical equipment
