Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC, part of Duke Health, seeks an experienced registered nurse to join our team. The role involves planning and delivering professional nursing care under physician orders, within NC Board-defined scope.

The schedule features four 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week) with self-scheduling within 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday. Requirements include BSN or higher and NC RN license; 12 months clinical experience and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program is required or encouraged to enroll in BSN if hired.
• Twelve months of clinical experience is required.
• Current North Carolina RN licensure and BLS certification.
• Ability to plan and deliver care while working in a four 10-hour shifts schedule.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed/unlicensed staff as assigned.
• Assist in maintaining the environment of care and patient safety; contribute to performance improvement.
• Support development of other staff and learners and participate in team activities.
