Orthopaedic Associates in Fort Walton Beach, FL seeks a Pain Management Scheduling Coordinator who is detail-oriented and highly organized. You will coordinate patient scheduling for interventional pain management procedures across two outpatient centers and a hospital, while educating patients on services provided by the Pain Management Physician.

The role requires strong communication, insurance verification, and EMR data entry (Athena).

Qualifications

• One year of experience as Surgery/Pain Management Coordinator or similar
• Experience with EMR software (Athena) preferred
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Office 365
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA requirements

Responsabilités

• Schedule patients for interventional pain procedures at two centers and a hospital
• Verify insurances, estimate benefits, collect patient coins
• Verify injections authorized before procedures
• Obtain clearances for medications or cardiac implants
• Provide pre-op instructions, arrival times, post-op appointments
• Prepare weekly surgery charts and share schedules with facilities
• Communicate with patients, providers, team, and facility staff
• Enter/update patient information in EMR
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned
