Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison, School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology invites applications for the 2027-2028 Interventional Nephrology Fellowship Program. This training focuses on vascular access procedures, clinical care at UW Health sites, research, and teaching medical students and residents.

Fellows will participate in grand rounds, journal clubs, and quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

• 2 years of general nephrology fellowship completed before the start of the Interventional Nephrology fellowship required.
• MD - Physician - State Licensure Required
• Wisconsin Medical License required before start date.
• Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine by the start date.
• Education:MD or DO, or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Clinical care at UW Health approved locations; clinical research endeavors; participation in the clinical teaching of medical students and residents.
• Participate in weekly Nephrology Grand Rounds; present one Grand Rounds session and one fellow's core curriculum lecture
• Present one abstract at a national conference and publish one manuscript
• Participate in quality improvement or peer review activities related to interventional nephrology
• Provide unsupervised clinical services for the Division of Nephrology as necessary and as assigned by the Division Chief
