Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison, Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology invites applications for a 2027-2028 Interventional Nephrology Fellowship Program to receive advanced training in interventional nephrology. The position blends clinical care, research, and teaching within UW Health locations.

You will participate in grand rounds, teaching activities, and quality-improvement projects while also providing unsupervised clinical services and mentoring residents and students.

Qualifications

• Two years of general nephrology fellowship completed before the start of the Interventional Nephrology fellowship.
• MD or DO, or equivalent required.
• Wisconsin Medical License required before start date.
• Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine by the start date.
• Education: MD or DO, or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly Nephrology Grand Rounds; present one Grand Rounds session and one fellow's core curriculum lecture.
• Present one abstract at a national conference and publish one manuscript.
• Participate in quality improvement or peer review activities related to interventional nephrology.
• Provide unsupervised clinical services for the Division of Nephrology as assigned by the Division Chief.
• Ambulatory clinic with CKD focus (half-day weekly).
• Inpatient service on general nephrology services, including weekend calls.
• Supervise and teach residents and medical students on service.
