Job summary

Avita Health System in Galion, Ohio, is seeking a Registered Interventional Cath Lab Technologist to join the Cath Lab Department.

You will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, support NCDR reporting, quality initiatives, and patient education, with on-call duties and a commitment to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Capable of responding to work site within 30 minutes of callback notification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Support NCDR registry reporting and quality initiatives for Cath Labs.
• Follow established standards of practice under supervision of invasive radiologist, cardiologist or cardiothoracic surgeon.
• Participate in patient and family teaching and act as patient advocate.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Interventional Cath Lab Technologist to join our Cath LabDepartment at our Galionlocation.

Position Overview

The Registered Interventional Cath Lab Tech may assist in NCDR registry reporting, quality initiatives and other compliance requirements for Cath Labs with ODH. The Registered Interventional Cath Lab Tech will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, perform emergency procedures associated with cardiovascular procedures such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, and temporary pacemaker insertion. Follows established standards of practice under the direction of a credentialed invasive radiologist, cardiologist or cardiothoracic surgeon. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the facility’s mission.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Licensure as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtained within six (6) months of hire.
• Capable of performing “on call” duties on a rotating basis, and be capable of responding to the work site within 30 minutes of callback notification.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab.
