Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab. The role includes scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during procedures, with responsibilities for equipment setup, patient prep, and post-procedure care.

The candidate should hold RCIS or be certified within six months, plus ARRT/TX RT(R) qualification, ACLS, and relevant licensure. Associates or bachelor’s in science preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• RCIS certification within six months of hire is required.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required; cath/IR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Monitor patient status and interpret basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs.
• Operate imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assist with transport of patient to and from the cath lab.
• Prepare and stock cath lab, maintain sterile technique, and assist with procedures.
