Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to assist physicians in invasive cardiac, peripheral diagnostic and therapeutic procedures at our Hackensack, NJ campus. You will prep equipment, support patient monitoring, calibrate hemodynamic equipment, and help with catheterization lab procedures.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic tech program, strong communication, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technologist program or radiologic technologist program or graduate of an applied science program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes equipment for each procedure.
• Assists procedure room team with patient positioning and monitoring.
• Calibrates and tests transducers for accurate pressure readings.
• Assists physicians in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Loads and operates power injector and sterile equipment.
• Assists in vascular access, sheath removal and hemostasis.
• Maintains equipment and adheres to CVIS standards.
• Participates in catheterization lab on-call duties.
