Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Completion of a Cardiovascular Invasive program or equivalent experience.
• BLS required.
• ACLS may be required depending on assignment.
• Must have successfully passed the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) exams.
• May require national certification, ARRT, and licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable.
• 2+ years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab in a hospital setting.
• Ability to maintain professional decorum in highly stressful emergent situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures under physician direction.
• Operate diagnostic and therapeutic equipment efficiently and maintain equipment performance.
• Monitor ECG and hemodynamic values during procedures and document findings.
• Maintain aseptic and sterile techniques and universal precautions.
• Uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities and confidentiality.
