Job summary

KAISER in Clackamas, Oregon is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech to support diagnostic interventional procedures in the cardiac and vascular laboratory. You will work under direct supervision and assist with invasive studies, patient preparation, and intra-procedural monitoring.

Requires invasive CV tech training or allied health education with cath lab experience, and certifications like ACLS/BLS. Expect on-call duties with 30-minute response and participation in QA and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited invasive cardiovascular technologist training program or two years education in an allied health science with comparable on-the-job interventional cath lab experience.
• Licenses/certifications such as ACLS and BLS are required.
• May be required to obtain RCIS/RCES/RCAR or related cardiovascular lab certifications within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Serves as scrub assistant or monitor/recorder for cardiology and radiology studies; prepares patients for invasive procedures.
• Maintains sterile field and operates hemodynamic and monitoring equipment; administers medications under supervision of physician.
• Responds on-site within 30 minutes when on call; restocks supplies and performs quality assurance for equipment.
• Recognizes cardiac arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes and alerts the provider during procedures.
