Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Interventional Cardiology Physician for locum tenens support in Virginia. The role includes inpatient coverage with 24-hour shifts and a range of complex cardiovascular procedures performed on EPIC EMR patients.

The position requires board certification in interventional cardiology, BLS and ACLS, and Virginia licensure. Malpractice insurance and travel assistance are typically arranged by AMN. Competitive pay is offered for locum engagements.

Qualifications

• Board Certified.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Virginia licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient call coverage from 7:00 to 17:00 and 17:00 to 07:00, 24-hour shifts.
• Perform balloon angioplasties, coronary angioplasty, PCI, and related vascular procedures.
• Manage medical therapy for vascular disease and patient care in EPIC EMR.

• Type of cases and required procedures: Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Heart Catheterization, Medical Management of Vascular Disease, Coronary Angiograms, Embolic Protection, Carotid Artery Stenting, Atherectomy
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
• Certifications required: Board Certified, Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Licensure required: Virginia
