AMN Healthcare is seeking an Interventional Cardiology Physician for locum tenens support at a California hospital. The role offers 24-hour call coverage with 14 shifts per month and requires a CA license and board certification in interventional cardiology.

The physician will perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, including IABP and Impella, plus echocardiography, TEE, stress tests, and nuclear testing. Malpractice coverage and travel support are provided.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in interventional cardiology with CA license.
• Active BLS/ACLS and DEA registration required.
• Hospital-based locum-tenens experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for interventional cardiology cases.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures including IABP/Impella placement; manage STEMI patients.

Interventional Cardiology Physician

This facility is seeking an Interventional Cardiology Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: 24-hour call 7:00 AM–7:00 AM | 14 shifts per month
• Practice Setting: Hospital
• Type of Cases and Required Procedures: ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients, perform all diagnostic and interventional procedures (including the placement of intra-aortic balloon pump and impella). Cardia diagnostics including echocardiogram, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), stress, and nuclear testing.
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Certifications Required: Board Certified, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Drug Enforcement Administration registration
• Licensure Required: Active California medical license
