Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL is seeking a PCU RN to join our team. You will assess patients, coordinate care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires an Associate's in Nursing, RN license, and BLS certification; BLS is required, PALS/PCCN are preferred. The position offers competitive pay, sign-on and relocation bonuses where eligible, and a supportive environment dedicated to whole-person care.

Qualifications

• Proficient clinical critical care skills and critical thinking with strong communication.
• Basic computer skills and hourly rounding.
• Previous EKG Interpretation class (preferred).
• Sound professional judgment in stressful situations (preferred).
• Teamwork and caring model approach to daily practice.

Responsibilities

• Participates in peer interviewing and review processes.
• Considers safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on nursing practice.
• Collects comprehensive data for patient health and unit improvement.
• Conducts initial patient assessments, initiates consults, and plans discharge needs.
• Maintains safe practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ensures safe handoff communications between caregivers.
• Communicates courteously with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrates respect and positive teamwork with other departments.
• Performs hourly rounding using AIDET to improve patient outcomes.
• Incorporates Caring Model and culturally competent care daily.
