Job summary

77 consultants is seeking an Associate-level Locum Cardiologist for an on-site contract in Georgia. The role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing cardiovascular disease within a multidisciplinary team. Epic EMR is used for documentation and patient care is delivered in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires MD/DO with board certification or eligibility and an active Georgia license, with paid travel and on-site support. Weekend call coverage is included as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology.
• Active and unrestricted Georgia medical license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Associate-level experience in cardiology or internal medicine focused on cardiovascular care.
• Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing complex cardiac conditions.
• Proficiency in interpreting echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiac diagnostic tools.
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions, including coronary disease, heart failure and arrhythmias.
• Perform and interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests and cardiac catheterizations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
• Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with nurses, physician assistants and specialists to coordinate care.
• Accurately document histories, examination results and treatment plans in EMR (Epic).
• Provide emergency cardiovascular care as needed.
• Educate patients and families on heart health and prevention.
