Job summary

VitalSolution is looking for an Interventional Cardiologist in California to join a premier healthcare team. This role offers a structured block schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, providing a balance of professional responsibilities and personal time.

You will manage an outpatient clinic, provide inpatient consultations, and be on call during your scheduled blocks. A competitive compensation package, including quality bonuses, is offered, along with private accommodations to ensure a comfortable working environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology.
• Completed at least 75 PCIs within the past year.
• Possess valid California medical license.
• Hold a California Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit.

Responsibilities

• Manage outpatient cardiology clinic.
• Provide inpatient consults and conduct rounding.
• Be on call 24/7 during block schedule.
• Perform Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) assessments.
• Conduct Nuclear cardiology studies.
• Supervise or interpret stress testing.

Skills

Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology

Experience with 75 PCIs in the last 12 months

California medical license

Interventional Cardiologist Role in California – Flexible Block Schedule

• Schedule: Full-time equivalent (182.5 days/year) with a structured block schedule (7 days on/7 days off). Block scheduling gives you predictable time on and true time off.
• Team: Work closely with APPs, PCPs, Hospitalists, Interventionalists
• Contract: 1-3 year contract

Clinical Responsibilities

• Outpatient cardiology clinic
• Inpatient consults and rounding
• 24/7 call during block schedule
• Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
• Instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR)
• IVUS
• Nuclear cardiology studies
• Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
• Supervise or interpret stress testing

Procedures

• Cardioversion
• IABP
• Temporary Pacemakers
• Pacemaker Implants (preferred but not required)
• Peripheral Intervention (preferred but not required)

Requirements

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
• 75 PCIs in the last 12 months
• California medical license
• California Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit
