Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join the Cooperstown, NY staff. The role includes diagnostic catheterization, coronary interventions, and outpatient clinic duties, with interest in TEE, coronary CT, and PERT interventions welcomed.

The position offers a busy cath lab, structural heart programs (TAVR, LAA closure, etc.), and teaching connections with Columbia University. Interventional call is 1 in 3 weekdays and 1 in 4 weekends.

Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS degree required and board eligibility/certification in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
• New York State licensure is required to practice.
• BLS certification is required; DEA registration is required.

Responsibilities

Job Title

Physician – Interventional Cardiologist – Cooperstown, NY

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join our staff.

The faculty practice consists of 15 cardiologists, 2 cardiac surgeons, and 18 advanced practice clinicians. We have an active coronary interventional program, as well as busy EP, structural and open heart programs. It is a teaching program with 2 new cardiology fellows each year.

The role will include diagnostic catheterization, coronary interventions, and an outpatient clinical practice. An interest in TEE, coronary CT, and PERT interventions would be welcomed. Interventional call is currently one in three weeknights, with one in 4 weekends. Our cardiac cath labs have a busy schedule of diagnostic and interventional coronary cases, as well as structural heart disease including percutaneous aortic valve replacement (TAVR), left atrial appendage closure, and patent foramen ovale closure.

Compensation

• For qualified candidates, leadership opportunities are available, including potential appointment as Division Chief.
• Salary Range: $615,000 - $700,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
