Bassett Healthcare Network in Cooperstown, NY seeks an Interventional Cardiologist to join a busy program with STEMI and structural heart services. The role includes diagnostic catheterization, coronary interventions, and outpatient practice, with opportunities in TEE, coronary CT, and PERT procedures.

The faculty program partners with Columbia University and offers leadership opportunities, a sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive compensation package. This is a salaried, fully employed position.

Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in ABIM Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology.
• New York State Licensure.
• BLS Certification Required.
• DEA Required.

Physician – Interventional Cardiologist – Cooperstown, NY

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join our staff.

The faculty practice consists of 15 cardiologists, 2 cardiac surgeons, and 18 advanced practice clinicians. We have an active coronary interventional program, as well as busy EP, structural and open heart programs. It is a teaching program with 2 new cardiology fellows each year.

The role will include diagnostic catheterization, coronary interventions, and an outpatient clinical practice. An interest in TEE, coronary CT, and PERT interventions would be welcomed. Interventional call is currently one in three weeknights, with one in 4 weekends. Our cardiac cath labs have a busy schedule of diagnostic and interventional coronary cases, as well as structural heart disease including percutaneous aortic valve replacement (TAVR), left atrial appendage closure, and patent foramen ovale closure.

Cooperstown is a vibrant upstate community set in a bucolic lake front village with four seasons of cultural and outdoor activity. Basset has a combined medical student campus with Columbia University, as well as an internal medicine residency.

• Cardiac Cath Lab with STEMI and structural program
• Electrophysiology program with full range of device implantation and ablation programs

Compensation

• For qualified candidates, leadership opportunities are available, including potential appointment as Division Chief.
• Salary Range: $615,000 - $700,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
• Sign-on Bonus up to $200,000
• Group Employed Model
