Job summary

UCHealth Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO, is seeking an Imaging and Interventional Cardiovascular Specialist for an onsite, full-time role. The position performs imaging and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions in alignment with organizational standards and values.

The role requires preparing patients, assisting with procedures (including cardiac catheterizations), and maintaining equipment and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; preferred Associate's degree in health field; radiography program graduate.
• RCES/RCIS/ARRT licensure or certification; BLS Healthcare Provider and related life support certification as determined at position level.
• BLS/CPR certification valid through start date and through sixty days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing sites and administering contrast or medications within scope.
• Assists physician with diagnostic/interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterizations; performs imaging including echocardiography and fluoroscopy; analyzes results and addresses image quality issues.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports changes as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; implements safety standards and performs QC; troubleshoots equipment malfunctions.
