Sierra View Medical Center is seeking an Interventional Angio Technologist to perform imaging in the Cardiac Cath Lab and IR, under supervision with potential independence in procedures. The role demands adherence to AIDET and flexibility for assignments.
The candidate should hold California Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist licensure with Fluoroscopy, ARRT certification, and BLS. Two years' interventional radiology experience is preferred; strong teamwork is essential.
Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Position Summary: Under the direction of the department leader(s), the Interventional Angio Technologist performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures and is responsible for all imaging aspects in the Cardiac Cath Lab and IR with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Must maintain compliance with governing agency regulations. May be assigned to other imaging modalities. Must follow AIDET and accept reassignments and additional duties when necessary in a flexible and positive manner. Must maintain an environment of cohesiveness and teamwork.
Must work normal/scheduled working hours, including holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, on-call, and be available for emergencies and community disasters per the California Emergency Services Act. Must fulfill affirmative duty to report misconduct or violations.
Education / Training / Experience: Two (2) years of experience in Interventional Radiology preferred. Basic computer skills. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, write routine reports and correspondence, calculate figures, and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Capable of effectively and ethically dealing with coworkers, physicians, and other hospital personnel.
Licensure / Certifications: Current licensure as a Diagnostic Radiological Technologist and Fluoroscopy in the state of California. ARRT certification. BLS certification, or obtain within orientation.
