Job summary

Rise Inc. is seeking an Intervention Technician to provide direct one-on-one or group intervention for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in school, community, or center settings.

The role documents progress toward goals and coordinates with the treatment team to support the child or adolescent, with regular supervision and annual trainings. The position is provisional for 18 months, requiring 1,040 hours of direct, supervised experience aged 0–21, and requires a Bachelor’s

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or within 24 credits of completing a Bachelor’s degree and actively enrolled.
  • Complete 40 hour RBT training in ABA (provided by RISE) or hold a current HI certificate.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with car insurance.
  • Background check must be passed.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (provided by RISE) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct one-on-one or group intervention to a child or adolescent with a developmental disability.
  • Document progress on goals daily and communicate with parents and other providers.
  • Coordinate with treatment team and participate in regular supervision.
  • Complete required annual training requirements.

In accordance with the individual’s plan for treatment, the Intervention Technician role is to provide intervention services directed toward decreasing the individual’s maladaptive behaviors and encouraging adaptive behaviors in the classroom or community setting, using reinforcement strategies.The Intervention Technician is required to document the progress or regression of goals, coordinate and collaborate with necessary treatment team members to support the child or adolescent, and participate in supervision on a regular basis. This position is a provisional position for 18 months.
