Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education with appropriate subject area.
• Hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator's License in a teaching content area.
• Master's degree in a specific subject area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes assessment strategies aligned with the WCPSS curriculum and standards to support learner development.
• Ensures effective communication techniques with students, parents, and all stakeholders.
• Engages in ongoing professional quality improvement for self, school, and district.
• Uses strategies to promote critical and creative thinking in students.
• Implements instructional strategies reflecting students' culture, learning styles, needs, and socio-economic background.
• Establishes a classroom management system creating a positive learning environment.
• Plan, align, implement, and evaluate instruction and assessment across environments.
• Collaborates with peers, parents, community, and stakeholders for continuous improvement.
• Integrates appropriate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Adheres to safety procedures and performs other related duties.
