Job summary

Kid's Thrive Central is seeking a compassionate Intervention Specialist to join our team on a full-time day shift. You will work with students, families, teachers, therapists, and other care professionals to identify needs and implement targeted interventions, monitoring progress.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in education or related field, state certification, and experience with IEPs, behavioral interventions, and collaborative planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Health, or related field preferred.
• Appropriate state certification or licensure, if required for the position.
• Previous experience with children, adolescents, or students with special educational or developmental needs preferred.
• Experience with IEPs, behavioral interventions, or structured learning environments is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic, behavioral, developmental, and/or educational support based on each child's identified needs.
• Assess student strengths, challenges, and areas requiring additional intervention.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies and goals.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group support as appropriate.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on ongoing observations and documented outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, clinicians, caregivers, and other professionals to promote consistent care and educational support.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interventions, progress, observations, and outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, goals, and recommended strategies.
• Support students in developing social, emotional, behavioral, communication, and academic skills.
• Promote a safe, structured, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies to encourage engagement and progress.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, individualized planning, and other collaborative activities.
• Follow facility policies, applicable educational requirements, safety standards, and confidentiality guidelines.
• Advocate for students and help ensure their individual needs are understood and supported.

Position Overview

Kid's Thrive Central is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and student-focused Intervention Specialist to join our team on a full-time day shift. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping children overcome academic, behavioral, developmental, and learning challenges while creating a supportive environment where every child can thrive.

The Intervention Specialist will work closely with students, families, teachers, therapists, and other members of the care and education team to identify individual needs, implement targeted interventions, monitor progress, and support each child's overall development.
