Job summary

Vaughn Next Century Learning Center in Pacoima, CA seeks an Intervention Assistant (Paraprofessional III) for part-time support at Pandaland (PreK-1st). The role offers hourly pay between $20.00 and $37.00 and involves 195 work days with up to 29 hours per week on site.

You will co-teach with general education staff, support universal screening data, and help implement multi-tiered interventions, with duties including small-group instruction, field trips, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Currently enrolled in college if Bachelor’s not yet earned.
• 1 year experience working with students in a school setting is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective classroom instruction aligned to ELA & Math standards.
• Co-teach and co-plan with general education teachers.
• Use screening data to form learning groups and monitor progress.
• Deliver small group instruction and after-school lab support.
• Support Lead Intervention Teacher with data gathering tasks.
• Assist in reinforcing classroom routines and safety procedures.
