POSITION TITLE: Intervention Assistant
REPORTS TO:
The Intervention Assistant reports to the Building Principal and works along with and is guided by the English Language Specialist to provide applicable intervention supports to the students.
POSITION GOAL:
To assist the English Language Specialist in maintaining the most effective level of instruction possible and providing intervention supports to students in math, reading, or other applicable subject areas.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

Possess appropriate level of education and experience to perform the
essential duties relative to the position.
Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, safety manuals, etc. and to generate routine reports and correspondence pertinent to the essential job duties.
Ability to communicate and to demonstrate interpersonal skills effectively in dealing with students, staff, parents, community members, and educational agencies as related to performance of the duties of the position.
Ability to perform mathematical operations and to apply mechanical skills and technical skills to accomplish the essential duties of the position.
Ability to interpret and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to perform routine tasks cooperatively and to adjust to interruptions, variables, or changes in standardized situations.
