Job summary

Uintah School District seeks a Student Intervention Aide for Lapoint Elementary. This voucher position runs up to 29.5 hours per week with no benefits. Applicants must be 18+ and meet educational requirements (HS diploma, associate degree or 48 college hours, or ParaPro test readiness).

The role focuses on supporting students’ learning, maintaining a flexible classroom environment, and collaborating with staff, families, and the community. Beginning ASAP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or 48 college hours, or willingness to pass ParaPro test.
• Experience with at-risk students preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the education of assigned students.
• Create a flexible program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth.
• Relate positively with students, staff, parents, and community.
• Assist with data collection.
• Assist with recess and/or bus duty as needed.
• Work cooperatively with all staff to ensure a safe, learning-friendly environment.
• Other duties as assigned by school administrator.

District Expectations For Classroom Aides

• Be responsible for the education of assigned students;
• Create a flexible program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth;
• Relate positively with students, staff, parents, and community;
• Assist with data collection;
• Assist with recess and/or bus duty as needed;
• Work cooperatively with all staff to insure a comfortable and pleasant working environment that will be conducive to learning and will encourage safety and good relationships;
• Other duties as assigned by school administrator.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma;
• Experience working with at-risk students preferred but not mandatory;
• Must hold Associate's degree or have 48 semester hours of college credit OR must have passed or be willing to pass the ParaPro test immediately upon hire.
